Woodland Potions
Children at the National Forest Wood Fair had fun making pink potions fom the woods. So did the adults! The Elderberry and Apple mixtures were a popular combination of tasty and healthy.

Go it Ancient Brits!
In a Celtic village at Martin Mere Wetland Centre visitors found out about boiling woad for body paint, mixing herbs for toothpowder and other ways plants were used in Ancient Britain. Thank you to the customer who sent in the words to the Woad Song, which goes to the tune of Men Of Harlech: "Woad's the stuff to show, men Woad to scare your foe, man Boil it to a brill-iant hue And rub it on your back and your ab-do-men" Join In You can join in with Potions Club events, or you can book your own workshop. Frosted Berries Even in the frost there's still hips and haws out there. They taste even sweeter for being frosted, so enjoy a winter wander, collect some tasty berries and make a delicious addition to your seasonal fare.
