Festivals The Potions Club workshop at the Harvest Moon Fayre was very popular. After a lot of grinding and chopping, everyone took home their own hand-stitched herbal tea bag; and enjoyed tasting elixirs made from hawthorn and elderberries. Potions Club will be at festivals and fairs in and around Derbyshire in Spring and Summer 2006. We plan to be at Linacre Woodlands Festival August 19th and 20th and the National Forest Wood Fair August 28th. We will be hanging out our herbs and stirring our usual potions! Herbal Products Also available at festivals and fairs are delicious herbal soups, vinegars, syrups and pies. Rosehip syrup is especially popular.		Wild about Wild Food Local organic food, free! Sounds wonderful! It's all on your doorstep. With growing concerns over food miles pesticides, and poor nutrition, what better way to combat these concerns than re-learning the ways of our ancestors. The Potions Club is running a weekend camp to provide an introduction to vegetarian wild food. We will be identifying, gathering, preparing, and tasting a veritable feast of leaves, flowers, and roots from nature's harvest. June 16th - 18th 2006 Contact us Gardening The herb garden at Atlow is being planted in its second season. We have planted valerian, soapwort, milk thistle, mullein, woad, lungwort and echinacea; around a raised circle of lavender, rosemary, thyme and oregano.
